Great to meet you!

Hello, and thank you so much for checking out my profile. My name is Mary Jo Ayllon, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, and I have been practicing therapy for 9 years. I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri and a master's degree in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. I am a pastor's wife and parent. I have experience working with various forms of anxiety, depression, and stress.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My therapy style encourages comfort, trust, hope, and motivation. I want you to feel safe to be yourself. I utilize approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness techniques, and humanistic therapy. I try to adjust my approach and pace to the needs and goals of each individual client.

If a client desires, I am also trained in Christian counseling that integrates psychology through the lens of Biblical truths.

What you can expect from our first session

I believe that therapy should be goal oriented, but that each person has a different pace to reach those goals. My goal is to meet you where you are, and walk with you to where you want to be. I like to collaborate with you to find the approach that helps you to feel hopeful and empowered. I hope to support and encourage you through the process of growth, healing and change.
