Great to meet you!

Growing up in an Asian household, I’ve seen firsthand how important mental health is, especially in cultures where it can be misunderstood or stigmatized. As a naturally curious person, I pursued my interests in human psychology and received my undergrad and graduate degrees in the field. I have extensive experience working within a wide range of settings and populations, including severe mental health disorders and families in high-risk circumstances. In my practice, I support individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, identity issues, and everyday stressors.

My approach to therapy

I believe in a client-centered, client-led approach. My goal is to support in navigating challenging triggers and stressors, and to overcome perceived barriers that get in the way of living more authentically. I value a holistic lens that looks beyond someone’s thoughts, feelings, and actions, and sees them in the broader context of their life. My interventions are tailored to your history, current circumstances, and goals. These typically include psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, and Internal Family Systems approaches.

What you can expect from me

Opening up to a complete stranger can feel awkward and unnatural, so trust and collaboration are key to the therapeutic process. I aim to create a non-judgmental, culturally sensitive space for clients to be curious about themselves, work through issues that play to their strengths and are aligned with one’s values. I’m committed to helping people feel supported and empowered as they strive toward meaningful, change.
