Great to meet you!

My name is Mary Beth Norwood, LICSW. I am a licensed social worker in Alabama with 14 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults from various walks of life. I have extensive experience working with individuals managing depression, anxiety, anger, adjustment disorder and life changes.

My approach to therapy

My therapy approach is client centered. I believe that the best way to begin making progress is addressing an individual's biggest concerns. We will work together to set goals for therapy and work together to meet those goals by processing current stressors and life experiences, developing coping skills, and challenging you to put those skills to practice between sessions.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to see improvements in their symptoms through understanding the underlying causes contributing to those symptoms, developing coping skills to manage life stressors, and understanding how to better manage and navigate life experiences and relationships.
