Great to meet you!

As a licensed clinical social worker, I am a holistic therapist with over 30 years of experience helping adults navigate life's most challenging transitions. I utilize a strength's-based focus helping clients identify patterns of thought distortions and negative self-talk; as well as behavioral approaches to improve mood and overall quality of life.

My approach is grounded in inclusivity and respect.

I specialize in supporting adults who feel stuck, disillusioned, frustrated and are dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, bereavement, trauma, chronic medical issues, infertility and other adjustment challenges. I also have extensive experience with aging, caregiving, caregiver burnout, grief and loss.

My approach to therapy

I use a person-centered holistic approach utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidenced based treatment.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity to discuss what brought you to therapy, your recent experiences, and what you hope to gain from treatment. I’ll ask about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, and other areas of your life that help me better understand your experiences. By the end of the session, we’ll identify initial treatment goals and begin developing a plan that supports your needs.

My goal is to provide a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space. In our first session, we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your recent experiences, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll also learn more about your history, relationships, and other areas of your life that help me understand your experiences. By the end of the session, we’ll discuss initial goals and begin developing a treatment plan. Think of a treatment plan as a roadmap to clarify your objectives and how we’ll work toward them.

We’ll also review practical details such as confidentiality, scheduling, and cancellation policies. You’ll have space to ask questions about therapy and my approach to treatment.
