Great to meet you!

I am a licensed mental health counselor who loves helping survivors of trauma, as well as people suffering from depression and anxiety. I am certified in leading trauma sensitive yoga, which is a somatic (body-based) therapy that helps survivors heal from past experiences. I have a very warm, compassionate, and holistic approach to therapy that includes addressing thoughts, emotions, your nervous system and the connection of body and mind. I also love to use humor and I'm not afraid to be real with my clients!

My approach to therapy

We will start with a free 10 minute phone consultation so that we can get to know each other a bit! If we decide to work together, we will come up with a plan together and begin working toward your goals. I offer both individual and group therapy, with an upcoming group offered utilizing Trauma-Senstive Yoga! I tend to "bring the body into the room" meaning I will provide education on the nervous system and we will work to strengthen your mind and body connection. I love bringing gentle movement, breathing practices, or other somatic based approaches into therapy, but in a 100% choice-based way. You are in control and we will go at your pace. It's very important to me that you are empowered in the therapy space and feel as safe as possible.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will likely be information gathering. I'll ask you some questions and we will explore the main reasons why you are pursuing therapy. I will help guide you with questions and share ideas for what may help you reach your desired outcomes. Together we will come up with a plan for our time together.
