I have a particular passion for children, adolescents, foster youth, and young people experiencing behavioral or delinquency-related challenges. I believe behavior often communicates needs that have not yet been identified and strives to understand the experiences, environment, strengths, and challenges behind the symptoms.
With a background in public health and nursing, I emphasizes prevention and early intervention while considering sleep, nutrition, physical health, relationships, trauma, environment, coping skills, and other factors that influence emotional well-being. Medication may be an important part of treatment, but I believe it should be considered within a broader, individualized plan of care.
