Mary Dean

I have been a social worker my entire career, graduating in my 20s with the goal of private practice when I felt confident enough to provide my client's the services they deserve. I have worked in a number of settings with other professionals, including psychiatrists who have taught me much about diagnosis, medications and best practices in therapy. I have had the privilege of working within a hospice setting, a state hospital setting, a private hospital setting and a managed care company.

I believe therapy is about looking at coping strategies, relationships and view of self in the world. I want to work with individuals and help them achieve a greater sense of peace and contentment within themselves and the world.

I hope my client's will feel like therapy is providing them an opportunity for growth in their relationships and daily life. Looking at how past relationships and experiences affect them in the here and now is important as well as learning new ways to take care of themselves.
