Great to meet you!

Are you struggling with painful memories that keep you up at night? Are you wondering if life will ever be normal again? Do you feel like no one understands? You are not alone. Many adults wonder if life will ever get better, after experiencing trauma, grief or difficult relationships. Imagine if you didn’t have to feel this way. It can be a challenge, but people do experience joy again.

I make it my goal to be a safe place for those who want to explore concerns, work through painful memories, increase insight and learn healthier ways of coping with life’s challenges. Trauma comes in a variety of forms such as abuse, death of a loved one, divorce, natural disasters, poverty, severe illness, injury or violence. These experiences can lead to symptoms such as anger, anxiety, guilt, unexplained pain, sadness and self-destructive behavior.

You can experience freedom from your past and look forward to what’s ahead. I'm committed to walking alongside you, as you heal and discover your full potential.

My approach to therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you change the way you think and feel about yourself and the world, ultimately changing your responses to situations. Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps you learn healthy coping skills and desensitize the effects of traumatic memories.

Trauma comes in a variety of forms such as abuse, death of a loved one, divorce, natural disasters, severe illness, accident or violence. These experiences can leave deep scars that lead to anger, anxiety, guilt, sadness and self-destructive behaviors. I'm committed to walking alongside you as you heal and discover your full potential.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, I will get to know you and explore what brought you to therapy. Together, we will discuss your goals and come up with a treatment plan that best fits your needs and desires. We will identify patterns and beliefs, learn healthy coping skills, and reduce disturbances caused by painful memories, allowing you to feel more confident in your ability to handle future situations.
