Great to meet you!
Mary earned both her Bachelor of Science in Social Work and Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University. Her academic background sparked a deep curiosity about people, relationships, and the many factors that shape how we experience the world. She developed a strong appreciation for research and evidence-based practices, while also learning that meaningful therapy is about much more than what we know, it’s about creating a space where people feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood.
Mary’s clinical experience includes working with adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings who are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, substance use, complex trauma, and PTSD. She brings a warm, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, drawing from humanistic, narrative, Internal Family Systems (IFS), motivational interviewing, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to meet each person where they are.
Mary also works with couples who are feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed by conflict. She provides support around communication and conflict reduction, relationship challenges, and the difficult process of healing after infidelity. Her goal is to help individuals and couples better understand themselves and one another, create healthier patterns, and move toward greater connection and understanding.
At the heart of Mary’s work is the belief that therapy should be a place where you can show up as you are, without judgment. She is committed to creating a confidential, welcoming space grounded in humility, curiosity, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. Whether you’re working through a difficult season, healing from past experiences, or hoping to strengthen your relationships, Mary strives to walk alongside you with compassion and respect.
