About Me

Anxiety looks different in every child, but no matter what form it takes, it can be excruciating for both the child and the parent. Whether your child withdraws to their room and won’t talk, gets angry and refuses to make an effort, works three times as hard as any other child and still feels inadequate, or seems to need you so much they can’t function on their own, knowing how to help is so hard. The good news is that no matter what anxiety looks like on the surface, there are evidence-based treatments that can really help.

I teach kids and teens to better understand and cope with anxiety, strategies/skills for managing panic and excessive worry, how to avoid avoidance, and to regain feelings of control and competence. I help parents learn how to support their child’s efforts to master their anxiety, to feel a part of the solution, and to feel hope rather than helplessness.

While my specialty is the treatment of anxiety, I also work with children, teens and young adults struggling with depression, ADHD, peer problems and disruptive behavior. I view childhood mental health issues through a developmental lens, and provide solutions that are age-appropriate and evidence-based.
