Great to meet you!

Great to meet you — and congratulations on taking this step, because seeking help is often the hardest part. I'm Mary Gonzalez, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I believe prioritizing your mental health is key to real happiness and stability.

I work with adults navigating trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance use, grief, family challenges, and the kind of stress that builds up over time. Wherever you're arriving from — overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for something to change — you don't have to sort it out alone. My style is warm, holistic, and empowering, and my hope is that you feel comfortable and genuinely valued from our very first conversation.

My approach to therapy

I work hard to create a warm, inviting space where you feel comfortable, valued, and truly heard. Open communication is at the center of everything — I want you to feel free to share what's really going on, and we build from there as partners rather than me handing you a plan.

Because no two people are the same, I tailor our work to you, drawing on approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma-focused therapy, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, motivational interviewing, and creative approaches like art therapy when they fit. I'm also committed to ongoing learning, so I can bring you the most effective practices available. Together, we'll build a partnership focused on your health and wellness — one where you're empowered to take an active role in your own healing.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really just about getting to know each other — there's no pressure to share everything at once or have anything figured out ahead of time. We'll talk about what brought you in, what's been weighing on you, and what you'd like to feel differently.

From there, we'll start shaping goals that actually fit your life and a plan for how we'll get there, at a pace that feels right for you. Most of all, I want you to leave that first conversation feeling heard, respected, and hopeful about what's ahead.
