Great to meet you!

Anxiety, depression, trauma, and ongoing stress don't just live in your thoughts. They can show up in your body, your relationships, and your sense of who you are. I work with people navigating these experiences, along with grief and loss, family and relationship concerns, questions of identity, women's issues, and concerns related to being gay, lesbian, or bisexual. I've worked in addiction recovery services, inpatient psychiatric care, and private practice. I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling and a certificate in Mind and Body Healing and Wellness, which shapes my holistic approach to care that includes mind, body, and spirit. In our sessions, I aim to be warm and creative, and to meet you as a whole person.

My approach to therapy

You already have strengths and tools within you, even if they feel hard to reach right now. My role is to help you build awareness and draw on them, so you can make choices that feel true to who you are and what you want long term. My approach is influenced primarily by Carl Jung, with an emphasis on self-compassion and openness to exploring yourself and the world around you. Depending on what you need, I may also draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic and attachment-based therapy to understand how past experiences and relationships shape the present, somatic therapy to notice what your body is holding, narrative therapy to look at the stories you tell about your life, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma. I also bring experiential and strength-based approaches into our work.

What you can expect from me

From our first session, you can expect curiosity from me. I'll ask questions to understand how your mental health affects your daily life and your long-term goals, so our work is shaped around what matters to you. Over time, our sessions are a space to build self-awareness, practice self-compassion, and reconnect with your own strengths. My hope is that you'll come away with a clearer sense of yourself and feel more able to make choices that fit who you are and where you want to go.
