Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Mary. I'm here to help you heal from your past and grow into the person you want to become.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina with over 5 years of experience in the mental health field. I specialize in working with clients who have a history of trauma, but effectively treat a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, personality disorders, and more. I am trained in EMDR, CBT, DBT, mindfulness theory, and trauma-informed care.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I approach therapy by working with you to understand how what you have been through in the past is affecting your present day thoughts and feelings. I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy to address the distressing thoughts; Mindfulness to process any uncomfortable emotions; and EMDR to help you truly heal from past traumas. In sessions we will work together to use these evidence based methods to ensure that meet your goals.

What you can expect from our first session

In sessions you will be sure to find a warm and non-judgmental space where you can truly be yourself. I strive to help my clients feel unconditionally supported and valued. I take a collaborative approach, meaning you will always have a voice in treatment. We will set goals (such as healing from past trauma, reducing anxiety, improving relationships, etc...) and create a plan to achieve them together. I hope to help you reach your goals and to know that you are not alone.
