Great to meet you!

It is my honor to work with adults 18+ to navigate life challenges both present focused and those with roots in the past. Life is a journey of accomplishments & joy along with struggles & challenges. During difficult phases my hope is to come alongside and support you by considering the relational, psychological, emotional, and spiritual dimensions in a holistic way. First, I listen to your story to understand your unique personality. Together we identify priorities to explore and address. Next, integrating my professional training, life experience, and years encouraging and supporting others I offer resources, strategies and guidance on how to heal, change, or grow. Hope can be restored whether you suffer from wounds in the past, broken relationships, a specific crisis, or behavior you desire to change.

It is my honor to work with college age students, singles and couples all through the various life stages up until the later decades.

My approach to therapy

My approach includes the most successful components of the counseling experience. The most important is the therapeutic relationship. I apply the concept of "unconditional positive regard" and seek to establish an environment of trust. I incorporate psychodynamic elements, CBT, solution focused, and trauma informed (EMDR) methods of therapy. Whether in a life transition, or facing an obstacle keeping you from moving forward I have an integrative approach to identify underlying causes & to encourage restoration and growth.

What you can expect from me

My priority is to establish a safe, confidential therapeutic relationship. My early career in corporate sales, raising 3 sons, and 35+ year marriage contribute to my ability to relate to a wide range of individuals. I welcome students 18+, individuals of all ages including seniors, and couples. I use tools such as the Prepare/Enrich marital assessment, assessments in personality typology, and ability to integrate faith if desired.
