Great to meet you!

Hello! I consider it a privilege to collaborate with clients negotiating difficult stretches on the life path.

Life often demands a lot from us, and having support facilitates moving forward.

I work with individuals during periods of depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, loss and grief. As a marriage and family therapist, I am trained to work deeply with clients on relationship difficulties. In addition to assisting with couple issues, I find it gratifying to work with clients whose issues/relationships include LGBTQIA+, neurodiversity, and managing relationships with adult children. You will be provided with skills to make progress.

I work at a pace determined by you, the client, to investigate how your emotional freedom may be blocked by old patterns dating to childhood.

I have been practicing for 15+ years.

My approach to therapy

I believe that you, the client, have inner wisdom that has been clouded over by stresses of daily life. You have strengths you might not recognize when under duress. To remove barriers, I take a whole-person perspective utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, humanistic therapy, experiential therapy, narrative therapy and mindfulness models.

Although the mental health care system requires the use of diagnoses, I think it is important for clients to not identify with any particular diagnosis. We human beings are too complicated for that.

I believe that therapy is effective when the collaboration between client and therapist results in new ways of looking at old issues and finding more effective ways of dealing with them.

What you can expect from me

An open, compassionate space. My role is to listen deeply to hear your concerns and answer any questions. I work to take in where you are at emotionally, and where you would like to be with the support of therapy.
