Great to meet you!

I bring over 10 years of nursing experience across diverse healthcare settings, including the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Operating Room (OR), Medical-Surgical, and Psychiatric nursing. Throughout my career, I discovered a strong passion for mental health care, which ultimately led me to pursue my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I found psychiatry to be the most rewarding area of practice, as it allows me to make a meaningful impact on individuals facing mental health challenges. My commitment to this field is also influenced by my personal experiences with the cultural stigma often associated with mental health. These experiences have strengthened my dedication to promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and helping individuals access the support and resources they need to achieve improved well-being and quality of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is patient-centered and collaborative, recognizing that every individual is unique and deserves personalized treatment. I work closely with each client to understand their specific needs, experiences, and goals, creating an individualized plan that supports their mental health and overall well-being. By fostering a partnership built on trust, respect, and open communication, I strive to help each person achieve meaningful and lasting improvements in their quality of life.

What you can expect from me

As your Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), you can expect a welcoming, open-minded, and judgment-free environment where you feel heard and respected. I believe a little humor can help make our first meeting more comfortable and ease the stress that often comes with seeking care. We will work together as partners to better understand your symptoms, challenges, and goals, developing a treatment plan that fits your unique needs. My goal is to support you in achieving improved mental wellness, overall health, and a better quality of life through compassionate, collaborative care.
