Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work who has over 36 years of experience in the human service field working extensively in the areas of social work, community mental health, and substance use. I currently maintain a private practice in Harrisonburg, Virginia. I bring considerable cross-cultural experience to my work and am committed to culturally sensitive practice.

My approach to therapy

Psychotherapy is a sacred space where individuals can safely explore life's challenges and hard places, with the goal of finding balance and a way forward. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, believing that in working collaboratively with you, we will find what works best. I believe that the mind and body are intricately connected and provide clues to find what we need and want. We find our way by listening deeply and uncovering and building on the strength that lies within each of us.

What you can expect from me

Regardless of what brings you to therapy, our sessions will always have the goal of helping you build resilience, gain insight, support, hope, and new strategies for life challenges. I will work with you with compassion and understanding to help you build on your strengths and gifts to attain the personal growth you are seeking and committed to accomplishing.
