Great to meet you!

In recent years, many of us have found it increasingly challenging to navigate our mental health and find effective ways to cope. If you're feeling this way, know that you've come to a supportive, understanding place.

My dual training—graduating from UT Southwestern Medical Center (medical school) in Dallas and Texas Woman's University (with specialized behavioral and psychological training) —gives me a well-rounded perspective on both the medical and psychological sides of mental health care.

My approach to therapy

For over 20 years, I've helped hundreds of clients in my private practice, community mental health settings, and school districts, primarily using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) are both evidence-based, practical forms of talk therapy that focus on how our thoughts influence our emotions and behaviors. They help people identify unhelpful thinking patterns and replace them with more realistic, adaptive ones to reduce distress like anxiety, depression, anger, or low mood.

What you can expect from me

My true passion lies in neuropsychology and the brain: helping people see how thoughts shape emotions, behaviors, and overall well-being. I enjoy explaining brain processes in clear, everyday language—covering what's normal, how substance use can alter those processes, and why our thinking patterns have such a powerful (and often underestimated) impact on daily life.

Many clients find this educational approach empowering and refreshing. Thoughts are incredibly influential, but without the right tools, they can feel overwhelming. Together, we can build a clearer understanding of why you think, feel, and act the way you do; discover practical ways to support yourself; and open your eyes to life as full of new possibilities and unexplored potential.

I'm here to guide you through this process, equip you with the skills you need, and walk alongside you as you move forward.

I'd love to hear from you—give me a call, and let's take that first step together!
