Great to meet you!

I bring over 25 years of experience as a psychotherapist, along with a wide range of personal and professional life experience, into my work with clients. I began my career as an elementary school teacher and later completed extensive clinical training, including a two-year internship with the U.S. Marine Corps. I’ve been married, divorced, remarried, and raised a family, which allows me to approach therapy with both clinical skill and real-world understanding.

My approach to therapy

My approach is practical, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe people can grow and make meaningful changes at any stage of life, and I focus on helping clients build insight, healthier patterns, and stronger relationships. I use a holistic approach with several research-based interventions including CBT, ACT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a supportive, low-pressure conversation focused on understanding what brings you to therapy and what you’re hoping to gain. We’ll talk about your current challenges, ask clarifying questions, and begin identifying goals — all at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of next steps and whether working together feels like the right fit.
