Great to meet you!

New to therapy? Welcome! Back for more? Welcome back! I believe that therapy should be something that empowers you to learn new ways to manage life’s challenges.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's degree in Social Work and I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals and groups. My areas of expertise include stress management, anxiety, depression, personal growth, and family and relationship issues. My professional background includes work with adults, the military, law enforcement, and the LGBTQ communities.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is to evaluate each person within their environment, and to provide supportive and practical feedback to help you effectively address personal life challenges. With compassion, understanding, and a good sense of humor, I will help you to achieve your identified treatment goals.

I work with clients who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, or stress related to family issues, occupational concerns/stressors, or other personal challenges. We will work to identify new ways of managing uncomfortable feelings, with agreed upon treatment goals that support resiliency and improved coping skills.

What you can expect from me

Everyone at their first appointment will complete an intake, which is the story of you! After we cover your past, we will talk about the future, and identify your goals for treatment. I believe in identifying your strengths, as these strengths will help you reach your goals. Life can be challenging, but you have the ability to overcome any obstacle!

I provide practical skills that can assist you with increasing your ability to manage stress, learning new ways to set personal and professional boundaries, and I can offer a path forward from symptoms of anxiety and depression.
