Great to meet you!

Most people who reach out to me have been holding things together for a long time — managing anxiety, processing a loss, navigating a difficult season, or quietly carrying something they've never said out loud. I work with adults, couples, and teens (16+) who are ready to do something different, even if they're not entirely sure what that looks like yet.

I specialize in trauma recovery, grief and loss, anxiety, women's issues, perinatal and postpartum mental health, and caregiver burnout. I'm EMDR-trained and use a range of approaches — including IFS, CBT, EFT, and attachment-based work — tailored to each person. I also offer faith-informed counseling for clients who want their spirituality integrated into their care.

I see clients virtually across Missouri and in person at my Clayton office.

My approach to therapy

My approach starts with listening — genuinely, without an agenda. I believe the relationship between therapist and client is the foundation everything else is built on, and I don't rush past that.

From there, I work collaboratively. I'll ask questions, explore patterns, and help you understand the "why" behind what you're experiencing — not to over-analyze, but to give you real tools you can actually use. I draw from EMDR for trauma processing, IFS for understanding the different parts of yourself, CBT for practical skill-building, and EFT for relational and emotional work. Most sessions use a blend.

I'm direct without being clinical. I'll gently challenge you when it's helpful, and I'll slow down when that's what's needed.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a conversation, not an evaluation. I'll ask about what brought you in, a bit about your history, and what you're hoping for. You don't have to have it all figured out — you just have to show up.

We'll talk about what you want our work together to look like, and I'll begin to get a sense of the approach that will serve you best. Most clients leave the first session feeling heard, and a little clearer on where to start.
