Mary Nichols

Hi I'm Mary! I obtained my undergraduate degree in Business through the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and graduated with my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Trauma from Cambridge College. I have spent the last 4 years working in men's mental health and specialize in working with client's who have a substance use disorders, co occurring disorders and trauma/PTSD. I utilize EMDR therapy, CBT, MI and various other treatment modalities individualized to the client's needs.

I enjoy utilizing my personality and incorporate humor into my workspace to help create a warm and welcoming environment where my client's feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable about their struggles. I have a unique niche of working with client's who are navigating the difficulties of re-entry post-incarceration and working towards building a new life for themselves! I believe that the foundation to successful treatment starts with the therapeutic relationship. Therapy can feel daunting at times and it's important to know that you have a provider who is there with you every step of the way!

Once the therapeutic relationship has been established, this is where goal setting starts and where progress is to be made! We will work together to identify your areas of struggles and strengths and develop an individualized plan that best suits your needs! It's important to remember that therapy can be a marathon and not a sprint so we go at the pace YOU feel most comfortable!
