Great to meet you!

My name is Mary, and I’m so glad you've reached out for support. Reaching out is a vulnerable and brave step. It's common to feel anxious, uncomfortable, or hesitant starting therapy. I want to let you know that I'm here to support you as we get to know each other. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Registered Art Therapist, and I have experience working with a diverse range of clients.

My approach to therapy

My approach is client-centered, and I am dedicated to tailoring our sessions to meet your unique needs and goals. It's really courageous to sign up for therapy and what you are doing shows that you are invested in yourself, which is the most important investment you can make! I’m glad to have this opportunity to help guide you on this new journey.

What you can expect from me

I believe that therapy is most successful when a person is able and willing to do it in a supportive environment and you need to "connect" with your therapist to do that. Just a little bit about me so that we can get to know each other a bit better. I've been working as a mental health professional in the Chicagoland area for about 19 years, and I specialize in and work primarily with depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and anger management. I work with the whole client, body, mind, and spirit, to facilitate change and achieve emotional balance and well-being. It is highly individualized and collaborative. You are the expert in your life, and I am here to help you reach your goals. I meet my client's where they are at and act as a guide, a support system, and a person who will challenge when I know they are ready to be challenged. I believe that each person has within them the tools to heal and sustain that healing and I believe in the capacity for change. Let’s begin this journey together!
