Great to meet you!

I have over 30 years of seasoned experience, all the way from working on psychiatric emergency teams, private practice, outreach treatment teams, to research with veterans on combat PTSD, and more...to equip me to work with many issues. I feel that no one is immune to life's difficulties, robbing some of peace and contentment in their daily existence. There are always ways to create peace and harmony in the "now" of our lives. I believe that ultimately we have control over our existence. Reaching out for help is a road sometimes not taken by the faint of heart, but much less challenging with a seasoned and supportive therapist...and that our past has no dominion over our lives in the present.

My approach to therapy

I feel it is important to have patience and to understand where my clients are coming from. I look for the gifts people already have and how they can make use of them in the "now" of their lives. I always check whether or not my clients agree with my suggestions before asking them to carry them out. My approach to therapy is "client centered therapy".

What you can expect from me

First session we will get to know each other. My goal is to for us to connect and for my client to feel safe and respectful of our working together in the future. I often leave a beginning suggestion for my client's to carry out.
