Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of Willowbend Counseling, where I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I earned my Master’s in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Oregon, and my experience includes two years in outpatient therapy, one year in a wilderness therapy setting, and one year supporting young people through major life transitions. I view people not just through the lens of what’s “wrong,” but through their capacity for creativity, resilience, and growth. My background in relational therapy allows me to understand you within the context of your relationships, attachment patterns, and lived experiences, and I bring a warm, intuitive, and deeply present approach to the work.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative, blending experiential, somatic, expressive, and trauma-informed therapies, including parts-based work. I help you explore the different aspects of yourself, especially the ones shaped by past experiences, while supporting nervous system regulation and a greater sense of safety. Rather than just talking through problems, we work on a deeper level to create lasting emotional and relational shifts. I see therapy as a collaborative process of reconnecting with your inner wisdom, helping you move through life with more clarity, self-trust, and vitality.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll take time to understand what’s bringing you in and what you’ve been carrying. I’ll guide you through thoughtful questions while also giving you space to share at your own pace. We’ll begin identifying goals and creating a sense of direction, with an emphasis on helping you feel safe, grounded, and supported from the start. My intention is for you to leave feeling seen and with a clearer sense of how therapy can help you move toward greater ease, connection, and purpose.
