Mary Smith

Mary is a dedicated board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) specializing in adult and geriatric psychiatry. She attended the University of South Alabama completing her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree specializing in psychiatry across the life span. Mary has over 13 years of experience in the healthcare industry working in various settings such as med-surg nursing, long-term care, ALFs, rehab, and has spent the last 3 years focusing solely on psychiatry.

I have a deep commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care. With a foundation in both nursing and advanced psychiatric training, I bring a holistic approach to mental health treatment, blending medical knowledge with an emphasis on the emotional and psychological well-being of each patient. My approach employs evidenced based practices, including psychotherapy, medication management, and patient education to support mental wellness and improve quality of life.

I create a warm and welcoming environment as i am passionate about reducing the stigma in mental health and empowering my patients to actively participate in their care. Whether working with individuals facing chronic mental illness or those navigating short-term emotional challenges, i am committed to making a meaningful difference in each patient's journey towards mental wellness.
