Great to meet you!

Have you ever caught yourself thinking, “This isn’t who I used to be?”

Maybe you’ve become anxious, emotionally overwhelmed, or constantly on edge. You may find yourself overthinking every interaction, withdrawing from the people you love, feeling irritable, or struggling to manage emotions that seem unfamiliar. Perhaps you’ve lost confidence, feel disconnected from yourself, or simply don’t recognize the person you’ve become.

Life’s challenges can shape us in ways we never expected, but they don’t have to define us.

I’m a bilingual (English and Spanish) therapist and founder of Claridad Counseling. I help adults across Texas navigate anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and maternal mental health. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, heal from life’s challenges, and reconnect with who you are with clarity, compassion, and support.

Some of my clients are the people everyone depends on. Others feel stuck in patterns they never imagined for themselves—constant self-doubt, fear of getting hurt, difficulty trusting others, people-pleasing, emotional reactivity, or feeling disconnected from the life they want.

Wherever you find yourself today, I’ll meet you with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment. Therapy isn’t about becoming someone different; it’s about understanding what brought you here and helping you reconnect with yourself.

Tu historia es bienvenida aquí.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and practical. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while integrating mindfulness and self-compassion to help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we’ll identify unhelpful patterns, build effective coping skills, and develop tools that support meaningful, lasting change while honoring your unique experiences, values, and goals.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I’ll take time to understand what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. We’ll discuss your goals, answer any questions you have about the therapy process, and begin creating a plan that feels personalized and manageable.

My hope is that you’ll leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer sense of the path forward. Whether we meet in English or Spanish, you’ll find a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can explore what matters most.
