Great to meet you!

My name is Mary Statum and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Services Provider (LPC-MHSP) as well as a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC). My specialties include trauma and alcohol/drug addiction. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and I have been certified as an EMDR therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) Levels I and Level II for over 12 years.

I am a very down-to-earth person and non-judgmental.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I listen well and my clients appreciate that they feel heard. I am genuinely concerned about assisting each person on their journey to wholeness and the healing of their body, mind and soul. I use a variety of therapies, philosophies and tools in my work.

What you can expect from our first session

In my practice, I often use a Holistic approach that focuses on the whole person in their entirety (Mind, Body, and Spirit). I consider a person's physical and spiritual perspectives--as well as psychological, emotional and mental perceptions and beliefs. Each person’s entire life experience can be taken into consideration as a greater whole where Mind, Body and Spirit are fundamentally interconnected. My goals for my clients include finding peace-of-mind, balance, wholeness and empowerment.
