Great to meet you!

My name is Mary and I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas. I then proceeded to earn my Master of Science in Nursing Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from Wilkes University. I have been in healthcare for over 20 years and have experience in a wide array of specialties, my favorite being psychiatry. My heart felt most drawn to psychiatry when I was working in the ICU at the beginning of the pandemic. I witnessed how so many people's mental health declined during that time period. I decided I wanted to work towards improving people's mental health and help people heal.

My approach to therapy

I view mental health as just one aspect of a person's overall wellness. I take a very holistic approach to caring for my clients by looking at the entire picture and how physical health may affect mental heath and vice versa.

What you can expect from me

We will begin by discussing what concerns the client and what their goals are. We will discuss health history, mental health history, current health status, current symptoms and concerns. We then will discuss what options there are for treatment and collaborate together to establish a treatment plan that is both evidence-based as well as consistent with the client's goals and wishes regarding their care.
