Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who believes that everyone deserves a safe and welcoming space where they can be fully themselves and feel heard, accepted, and respected without fear of judgment. Creating that kind of relationship with my clients is at the heart of the work I do.

I hold a master’s degree in counseling, have nearly completed a second master’s degree in social justice, and am independently licensed to practice in both Ohio and Florida. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stress, burnout, relationship concerns, and difficult life transitions.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I strive to meet you exactly where you are and create a space where you can talk openly about the difficult, messy, or complicated parts of life and know that you will be met with kindness, understanding, and absolutely no judgment.

Together, we can build on your strengths, develop practical tools for navigating life’s challenges, and work toward greater peace, balance, and a life that feels meaningful and authentic to you.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel collaborative, genuine, and supportive. I take an active role in the therapeutic process by listening carefully, asking thoughtful questions, offering feedback, and helping you look at things from different perspectives. I believe there is room for difficult conversations, laughter, tears, and everything in between. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable being yourself.

Unconditional positive regard is at the heart of how I work with clients—and I put great emphasis on the unconditional part. Our sessions are a judgment-free space where you can talk openly and honestly without worrying about being criticized, shamed, or feeling like you have to be someone you’re not. You don’t need to have the right words, all the answers, or everything figured out before we meet.

We will work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you, build on your strengths, and find tools and strategies that fit your life. Above all, my goal is for you to feel genuinely heard, accepted, and supported as we work toward the changes that are meaningful to you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about getting to know each other as people. I want to learn about you, answer any questions you may have, and give you a sense of who I am and how I work. I have a sincere interest in the well-being of my clients, and I believe taking the time to build trust and connection is an important part of therapy.

Before we start unraveling the harder things, I want you to feel comfortable enough to talk with me about both the lighter parts of life and the heavier ones. Connection is powerful in therapy, and feeling safe, accepted, and understood by your therapist matters. If you don’t feel that connection with me, I will always respect that. Finding the right therapist is important, and you deserve to work with someone you feel comfortable being open and honest with.
