Great to meet you!

If you're dealing with anxiety, relationship stress, grief, or the kind of exhaustion that comes from always holding everything together, you're in the right place.

I'm Mary Warner, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Kansas with 25+ years of experience helping women and adults navigate the moments when life feels too heavy to carry alone. I specialize in anxiety, women's issues, trauma, depression, grief, and the identity shifts that come with major life transitions, family changes, or chronic health challenges.

I'm open-minded, direct, and genuinely warm. My clients tell me they feel safe enough to say the things they've never said out loud. That's exactly the point.

My approach to therapy

My approach is practical and grounded in what actually works. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you catch and shift the thought patterns keeping you stuck, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you move toward what matters even when things are hard, and Motivational Interviewing when you know change is needed but can't quite get there yet.

I also use Bowen Family Systems when the roots of what you're carrying go back to family, because they often do.

You won't just talk here. You'll leave with a clearer picture of what's happening and why, and real tools to use between sessions.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about you doing the talking and me doing the listening. We'll cover what brought you here, what you've tried before, and what you actually want your life to look like on the other side of this.

I'll ask about your history, your relationships, your health, and your goals. Not to check boxes, but because all of it matters to how we work together. You'll leave knowing exactly what we're focused on and feeling like this was time well spent.

Paperwork, privacy, and logistics: we'll cover all of it, no surprises.
