I'm Maryam Khoshbooii, a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience working with adults and older adults. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and have a strong focus on both individual therapy and couples therapy.
In my work with individuals, I help clients manage a range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship or interpersonal challenges. I believe therapy should be a supportive and collaborative space where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors — and learn practical tools to create lasting change.
I also have extensive experience working with couples who are looking to improve communication, deepen emotional intimacy, navigate conflict, or recover from infidelity and major life transitions.
My approach is warm, direct, and rooted in respect. I tailor treatment to each person or couple's unique needs, always working at a pace that feels safe and productive.
I work in both English and Farsi, and I welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
