Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed psychologist with a doctorate in psychology and training from UC Santa Barbara. Over the years I've worked with adults facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the kind of stress that quietly builds until it feels like too much. Alongside therapy, I offer psychological testing and assessment when a clearer picture would help guide our work.

I see clients both in person in Menlo Park and through telehealth, and I'm proud to offer therapy in English and Persian (Farsi). Many of the people I work with are [professionals, students, members of the Persian-speaking community — adjust to who you serve], and I tailor each step to fit your life rather than a fixed formula.

My approach to therapy

I see therapy as a genuine partnership. Before anything else, I want to understand what you're carrying and what you hope feels different. From there, I draw on evidence-based approaches — including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy [add others: CBT, mindfulness, psychodynamic] — and adapt them to you rather than the other way around. My goal is to help you build practical tools you can use between sessions while also making sense of the deeper patterns you want to change. We'll move at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is mostly about getting to know each other — no pressure to have everything figured out. I'll ask about what brought you in, what's been weighing on you, and what you'd like to be different. You'll have plenty of room to ask me questions too, since finding the right fit matters. By the end, we'll have a shared sense of where to begin and what working together might look like.
