Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Missouri, and hold a Master of Social Work from the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis. I have experience related to relationships, life transitions, parent-child relationships, anxiety, depression, trauma, academic/school problems, career, and LGBTQIIA+ identity exploration and surrounding issues. I also have special interest in neurodiversity, ADHD, and folks who identify as misfits.

My approach to therapy

My down-to-earth therapeutic approach is focused on acceptance and connection, creating a protected, grounding space to facilitate self-compassion, healing from past wounds, and breaking out of patterns. I emphasize the significance of social structures, while at the same time embracing individuality and strengths w/compassion and curiosity, practicality, and genuine enthusiasm. I am an attentive listener, and trust in clients’ knowledge of themselves as foundational for growth and healing.

What you can expect from me

As you grow in your understanding of yourself and your world, counseling will help you find more choices than you thought possible — real alternatives to being defeated, becoming numb, or simply being trapped in knee-jerk patterns and reactions. Growth in this way does require trust and vulnerability, but from both of us! My deepest hope is to be a compassionate collaborator and source of safety and insight as you make small steps towards big change.
