Great to meet you!

I'm Mel a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LPCC) based in Ohio. With extensive experience working with elementary and middle school children in a school-based setting, I have developed a deep passion for helping students understand their emotions and gain a sense of control over their actions. It's incredibly rewarding to see young minds grow and thrive as they learn to navigate their feelings and behaviors.

In addition to my work with children, I also provide therapy to both children and adults through telehealth private practice. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and offer training for life and social skills. My approach is rooted in person-centered and cognitive-behavioral therapy, which means I tailor our sessions to meet your unique needs and help you develop practical strategies for managing life's challenges.

Whether you're dealing with stress, navigating a life transition, or seeking support for your family's mental health, I'm here to help. Together, we can work towards building a healthier, more balanced life. If you're ready to take the first step, I invite you to reach out and start this journey with me.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I use person-centered and cognitive-behavioral techniques to help children, teens, and adults build practical tools for managing anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, and social or emotional challenges. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients feel understood, empowered, and capable of meaningful growth.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space where we begin by getting to know one another and discussing what brings them to therapy. In the first session, we’ll explore your goals, current challenges, and any relevant background so we can create a plan that feels supportive and realistic for you. My priority is helping you feel comfortable, heard, and hopeful about the path forward. A parent or adult legal guardian is required to attend the first session for all clients under age 18.
