Great to meet you!

After a long and successful career in the substance use field, I've spent the last 10 years working with foster children and their families. Our families shape us in countless ways, and I love helping people learn to respond to one another in healthy ways. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including family systems therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and narrative therapy, to help my clients with their unique needs. I believe in tailoring my methods to each person because everyone's journey is different.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is a very personal and complex journey. My goal is to meet each person where they are, without judgment, and to see them as the unique individual they are. We've all made good and poor choices in our lives, and I believe that mistakes are our best teachers for growth.

In our sessions, I'll be there to support you on your path to a better life. I'll ask thoughtful questions to help you process your experiences, and sometimes these questions can be challenging. It's okay if the answers don't come right away. In fact, it's often in the space between sessions that the most exciting breakthroughs happen. I find it incredibly rewarding when a client finds an answer on their own throughout the week.

What you can expect from me

I believe that the true work of therapy happens outside of our sessions. My goal is for you to leave with a new or clearer perspective that you can apply to your daily life.

It's okay if a new skill doesn't work perfectly the first time. That's how we learn. We'll use our next session to talk through what happened and figure out how to make it work better for you. I want every client to feel that our time together has been truly beneficial.
