Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m Dr. Matheus Marques, a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in mood disorders, with particular expertise in treatment-resistant depression. With over a decade of experience in medicine, I have completed five years of specialized psychiatric training at Mayo Clinic including both my psychiatry residency (where I served as chief resident) and fellowship in mood disorders.

My approach to therapy

I believe in partnering with my patients to develop personalized treatment plans that honor both the latest scientific evidence and each person’s unique circumstances and goals. At Mayo Clinic, I helped develop institutional consensus for managing treatment-resistant depression, work that ensures I bring the most current approaches to complex cases. I’ve also completed specialized training in reproductive psychiatry through the National Curriculum in Reproductive Psychiatry and continue to participate in their ongoing supervision program. My practice welcomes patients from across Minnesota, and I look forward to working together to develop a treatment approach that works for you.

What you can expect from me

Whether you’re seeking help for depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, treatment-resistant conditions, or mental health needs during pregnancy and postpartum, my goal is to provide thorough, individualized care grounded in the latest research. My practice welcomes patients from across Minnesota, and I look forward to working together to develop a treatment approach that works for you.
