Matilin Novak

Hi, my name is Matilin, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Addiction Specialist licensed in both Colorado and Wisconsin. I am passionate about helping adults work through trauma, addiction and anxiety. I recognize that each client I work with is unique, so I tailor my evidence based therapeutic approaches accordingly. I'm very intentional with session time to guarantee clients are feeling better and seeing real results from therapy.

I specialize in working with clients who have experienced trauma and use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for working with anxiety disorders and building a healthier self esteem, as well as solution focused brief therapy (SFBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and person-centered therapy approaches. You don't have to keep struggling. Reaching out is the first step in feeling heard, cared for and supported.

I have worked in mental healthcare for many years as a licensed clinical therapist. I am skilled and experienced at working with clients who are ready to see sustained growth and change in their lives. I have my Master of Counseling Psychology degree from DU, and am dually credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addictions Counselor.
