Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Matt. I have over two decades of helping people make positive changes in their lives. I started in outdoor education, and then eventually transitioned to experiential and mindfulness-based counseling. I help people (mostly men) overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use issues, among other things. I am passionate about what I do!

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy through relational, experiential, ACT-based, and mindfulness lenses. In non-therapy jargon, this means I believe healing happens interpersonally, and that your values and strengths are just as important as the painful stuff that gets in the way. I personalize therapy to what you need, based on your obstacles and your goals. My hope is that you feel like I've got your back.

What you can expect from me

I offer a supportive, caring place where laughter tends to happen as often as tears. In working with me, you can expect non-judgement, collaboration, and curiosity. I do my best to offer skills up front, and then a deeper dive into the underlying causes and conditions of your suffering as we progress. I believe you are the expert on you, and I know a bit about mental health.
