Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m a licensed mental health counselor experienced in helping adults manage depression, anxiety, substance use, and PTSD.

In addition to working as a psychotherapist, I'm a researcher and educator at Boston Medical Center's Grayken Center for Addiction Training and Technical Assistance and have a weekend job/hobby as a florist.

My approach to therapy

I take an empathic and integrative approach to therapy, meeting you where you're at, addressing the goals that you set for yourself, and selecting therapeutic strategies based on your needs. I use cognitive/behavioral methods, motivational interviewing, humanistic and existential approaches, psychodynamic theories, mindfulness, and harm reduction for substance use. Theories aside, I believe that acceptance, love and courage heal.

What you can expect from me

I hope that we can leave the first session with a firm sense of whether or not we are a good fit. We'll discuss what's going on in life, reasons you're looking for support, goals you'd like to achieve, and expectations for therapy.
