Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) and National Board Certified School Counselor (NCSC). I enjoy working with adolescents exploring and navigating social and emotional challenges, such as identity, personal loss and/or parental dynamics. I'm also interested in supporting helping adults presenting with issues related to trauma, anxiety, grief or family concerns (relationships, finances, raising children, etc.) Additionally, I'm comfortable supporting clients presenting with issues related to emotional abuse, PTSD, couples counseling, and faith-based counseling.

My approach to therapy

I provide counseling from various clinical orientations; including CBT, humanistic, existential, choice, and person-centered. I lean toward a humanistic and existential approach and often incorporates Choice Theory and Person-Centered theories.

What you can expect from me

The first session is treated as a "get to know you" time. I want you to have a better idea of who I am and how potential sessions may unfold as I get to know you and ways I can support you. The opening session is light-hearted, genuine and intentional about introducing ourselves and getting a general overview of your concerns. At the end, we'll determine whether this is a good match and go from there!
