Great to meet you!

People sometimes ask if I ever get overwhelmed listening to other people's problems.

Honestly? No.

People are interesting.

I like conversations that most people avoid. The ones that start with, "I've never told anyone this before..." Those conversations don't scare me—they make me curious.

I'm less interested in labels than I am in understanding the story underneath them. Every habit, insecurity, defense, or relationship pattern developed for a reason. My job is to help you figure out what that reason was—and whether it's still serving you.

Also, if we work together long enough, there's a decent chance we'll laugh. Sometimes a lot.

My approach to therapy

I don't believe therapy should feel scripted. Every person has a different story, and my first priority is understanding yours before deciding where we go.

My job isn't to convince you to think positively. It's to help you understand why your mind learned to think this way in the first place. When we understand the purpose behind our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, they stop feeling random and start becoming understandable.

I pay close attention to patterns—how you relate to others, how you speak to yourself, and the ways your past continues to shape your present. Instead of rushing toward quick answers, I stay curious until something begins to click. I believe lasting change comes from awareness, not just advice.

What you can expect from me

Probably fewer awkward icebreakers than you're expecting.

The first session isn't about impressing me or getting your story "right." It's about figuring out who you are beneath the symptoms, diagnoses, and the version of yourself you've had to become just to get through life.

I'll ask questions. You'll probably think about things in ways you haven't before. We might laugh. We might sit in silence for a minute. We definitely won't pretend everything is fine if it isn't.

By the end of the session, my hope is that you'll feel something many people don't experience often enough: genuinely understood. Not fixed. Not analyzed. Just understood. From there, we'll decide together where to go next.
