Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Matt, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist within the state of Florida. I received my Bachelor's in Psychology and Master's in Social Work at UCF. I specialize in working with folks that are currently struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and life-changes and transitions.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is based on providing an open-minded, warm, and compassionate perspective towards my clients. Within the client-therapist dynamic, I believe that my role is to help provide guidance, support, and encouragement for my clients to achieve their goals and to become the person they want to be! I also believe in injecting humor into sessions and getting to know my clients since we can all use a little levity sometimes, especially if we are struggling with depression or anxiety.

What you can expect from me

First sessions typically are a chance for us to get to know each other. I love hearing all about any hobbies, interests, and any goals that my clients have in mind. While we may not dive into the meat-and-potatoes of everything in our first appointment, I believe it is important for us to understand the person, rather than the problem, first. After all, I am here to help you first and foremost!
