Great to meet you!

Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Matt Brown and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I want you to know that helping you is my top priority. It may take some time as we navigate this world of mental health and we will work to get the results you desire. I am nonjudgmental and I want you to be comfortable in your appointment. I am excited to meet you and be your mental health provider. I work with all age groups and all disorders.

My approach to therapy

A bit about my approach to therapy

I start low with medications dosages for my patients because we don't know how they are going to work. We will adjust medications as necessary to get the results you want. I want my patients to feel like they can tell me whatever they are comfortable with in a warm and caring atmosphere. If you need to cry during the session or it's hard to get your words out, that's okay. We will work through it together.

What you can expect from me

The first goal is making sure you are comfortable in our session. Secondly, before we end our session, the goal is to have a plan for your treatment and we will adjust as we need to in order to maximize your treatment and help you live as normal a life as possible. Thirdly, I want you to feel that you have been listened to and that I genuinely care about your mental health. It's not always easy to talk about things that are going on. You won't experience that with me as your provider.
