My name is Matthew Buragina and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University. I have worked across various levels of care with children and adolescents, including inpatient, outpatient, and crisis settings. I have undergone additional training in the treatment of OCD and ADHD.
My approach to treatment is person centered. I believe treatment should be a collaboration between therapist and client, focusing on your strengths. I incorporate aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness and wellness.
I focus on building an environment that is non-judgmental and safe for you to express yourself freely and openly. I believe therapy should incorporate self-reflection and a focus on clearly identified goals. When working with adolescents, I believe it is important to incorporate families to address the family system.
