Great to meet you!

I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marquette University in 2023, and I have had the privilege of working with a great variety of clients in an outpatient hospital setting over the last three years. Through a trauma informed and person-centered lens, I want to help clients explore concerns relating to shame, depression, anxiety, identity, and more.

My approach to therapy

My priority is growth—helping individuals find and appreciate change in their lives. My time in the hospital setting has afforded me experience with numerous modalities of counseling, and I incorporate education materials as well as clinical assessments into my work. My personal style primarily aligns with narrative therapy. I assist clients in making different meanings from their lived experience, and I help people better understand their ways of making meaning (i.e., their ways of story telling). From myself, I expect humility and creativity. My aim is to be an open and engaged part of the change process, but I will strive to preserve and empower the voice of any client with whom I am working.

What you can expect from me

Please email me at [email protected] with any questions!

In first sessions, I ask about presenting problems, social and family history, medical history, safety risks, and more. I take lots of notes! Thorough assessment helps me build ideas of existing narratives in clients’ lives, and it helps me form a treatment plan to review with clients in their second session; however, clients are always welcome to pause me or decline questions. In every session, I will do my best to be mindful of and honor each client’s comfort level in that session and moment.
