Great to meet you!

I work with adults and couples who are tired of feeling stuck in the same emotional loops, overthinking, shutting down, people-pleasing, conflict cycles, or carrying more than their share in relationships. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I won’t just listen and nod, I’ll help you understand what’s actually happening beneath the surface and what to do differently. Finally, I have two small therapy dogs (Oscar and Gracie, both Chiweenies). They are my fur-babies and mean the world to me. I am also a bit of a geek. I enjoy all things science-based, physics, and the combination of Eastern Philosophy and Western Psychological tools in therapy. A sense of humor is a must.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is authentic and "down to earth." I ensure therapy is relevant and practical, uniquely designed for you (no cookie-cutter approach). I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space in which clients can openly share their thoughts and feelings, thereby fostering a strong therapeutic alliance. Together, we develop helpful coping strategies to manage and reduce symptoms.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, I have several goals. First, my aim is to establish a safe emotional environment. In addition, the aim is to understand what’s bringing you in now and to begin to understand the patterns that keep you feeling stuck. I’ll ask thoughtful, focused questions and help clarify thoughts, emotions, and relationship dynamics, without rushing or pushing for quick fixes. You have made the first step; now it's my turn to help support the next. Thank you for reviewing my bio page!
