Great to meet you!

As a former firefighter, paramedic, and emergency planner, Matthew deeply understands the impact of trauma on those who served and protect. His mission is to help all individuals move beyond survival-toward healing, wholeness, and hope.

My approach to therapy

We offer an integrative, client-centered, trauma-informed approach to care that thoughtfully blends evidence-based practices with somatic, experiential, and relational modalities to support deep and lasting healing. Our work is grounded in proven therapeutic methods such as cognitive and behavioral approaches, attachment-based therapy, mindfulness, and psychoeducation, while also honoring the wisdom of the body, lived experience, and the therapeutic relationship itself. Treatment is collaboratively tailored to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals, creating a safe and empowering space for growth, resilience, and self-understanding. For those who desire it, we also provide faith-integrated therapy that respectfully incorporates spiritual beliefs as a meaningful resource in the healing process, always guided by the client’s values and preferences.

What you can expect from me

What to Expect in Your First Session

In your first session with Matthew, you can expect a calm, respectful, and grounded space where safety and trust come first. The initial meeting focuses on getting to know you—your story, current challenges, strengths, and goals for therapy. Matthew will invite you to share at your own pace, with no pressure to disclose more than you’re ready for. Drawing on his background in trauma-informed care and emergency services, he approaches this session with deep understanding, compassion, and practical insight into how trauma and high-stress experiences affect both mind and body.
