Great to meet you!

I'm Matt, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) passionate about providing empathic care to every client I serve. I take pride in spending more than just 15 minutes with every client, and I find that my clients appreciate being able to work at a comfortable pace.

I completed my undergraduate degrees at Stetson University (Psychology and Philosophy; 2014) and ECPI University (Nursing; 2020), as well as my Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University in 2024. With 9 years of experience in acute, residential, and outpatient psychiatric facilities, I have gained ample insight into what it takes to treat a vast array of psychiatric clients. While I am well-versed in all psychiatric disorders, I have the most experience treating bipolar disorder, sexual addiction, depression, anxiety, and LGBTQ+ concerns.

My approach to therapy

I pride myself in my ability to treat each client with empathy, compassion, and genuine concern for their well-being; guaranteeing quality care that prioritizes their mental health, life goals, and overall wellness. I consider psychiatric treatment to be a collaborative process between myself and the client, meaning that our treatment plan only includes goals that the client wants for themself. Through motivational interviewing; and with principles drawn from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and humanistic psychology; together we will optimize your mental health.

What you can expect from me

The clients I work with can expect to feel heard, respected, validated, comforted, and valued in each of our interactions. Clients will also be empowered to participate in shared decision-making every step of the way, ensuring that they understand themselves to be vital to every aspect of the treatment process. Together, we will create a treatment plan that includes finding the right medication, developing coping skills, and making lifestyle changes that are sure to make you feel better.
