Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Matthew Mulock, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for helping people heal, grow, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and fulfilling. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida and my master’s degree in Social Work, with a concentration in Advanced Clinical Practice, from Saint Leo University. I am originally from Alaska, but Florida has been my home for the past 20 years. I work with adolescents and adults who are navigating a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and everyday stressors. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to be yourself, explore what you are going through, and begin building the tools you need to move forward with confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and rooted in hope. I believe therapy works best when you feel truly heard, respected, and supported while also gaining real tools you can use in your daily life.

I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, also known as CBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy. This means we will work together to identify unhelpful patterns, better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop strategies that help you feel more resilient and in control.

I also approach therapy through a trauma-informed lens, which means I understand that past experiences can deeply shape how we think, feel, relate, and cope. Whether you are working through trauma, managing anxiety or depression, or simply feeling stuck, I will meet you with compassion, respect, and a focus on meaningful progress.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a supportive and welcoming conversation focused on getting to know you, what has been bringing you stress or pain, and what you hope to gain from therapy. There is no pressure to have everything figured out before you begin. We will talk through your goals, your current challenges, and what support would feel most helpful for you. My style is enthusiastic, collaborative, and encouraging. I want you to leave feeling seen, supported, and hopeful that change is possible. Whether you are navigating a difficult transition, healing from past wounds, or looking for healthier ways to manage life’s stressors, I am here to walk alongside you with care, honesty, and practical support.
